After an explosive season in London’s West End, our first science comedy, DR BUNHEAD’S RECIPES FOR DISASTER, blasted into KL for a dynamite two-week run at The Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre. Presented by Malaysia Airlines and supported by Malaysia Oxygen, the “resident scientist” of Sky TV’s “Brainiac” television programme, Tom Pringle aka Dr Bunhead, delighted both children and adults alike with his unusual combination of science trivia and stage comedy. He also re-created his Guinness World Record-winning stunt of making the fastest potato chips in town! |

Gardner & Wife's first show from New Zealand was also their
first show to extend its run! Coming directly from a sell-out season
at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, "Those Indian
Guys" - Tarun Mohanbhai and Rajeev Varma - performed D'ARRANGED
MARRIAGE to packed houses for one week, followed by two weeks
of its prequel, FROM INDIA WITH LOVE.
Presented by Malaysia
Airlines, both shows performed at The
Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre and were co-produced with
the New Zealand
High Commission. |

Gardner & Wife's third West End show, ALONE
IT STANDS, marked another co-production with the Embassy
of Ireland. Presented by Malaysia
Airlines, this rugby comedy received a standing ovation at the
Irish Ambassadors Gala and a very enthusiastic response during
the two weeks it performed at The
Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre. As well as directing
the play, award-winning writer-director John Breen also conducted
a Q&A for a school audience in the first week.

LITTLE VIOLET AND THE ANGEL premiered
its first three performances as charity fundraisers for Calvary
Life Ministries. With original music and lyrics composed by Patrick
Jonathan and three Romanian-made puppets courtesy of Londons
Theatre
Centre, this local-cast production played for more than three
weeks over the Xmas season at The
Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre. |

Coming directly from their third sell-out season at
the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, PLUCK performed "Musical Arson" for
two weeks to packed houses at The
Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre. Presented by Malaysia
Airlines, this winner of the prestigious Tap Water Award at the
2003 Edinburgh Fringe Festival premiered as a charity performance
for the National
Cancer Society of Malaysia with the British High Commissioner
as guest-of-honour. |

MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL marked the second
co-production with The
Embassy of the United States of America. Presented by Malaysia
Airlines and endorsed by the
Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development, the show
raised over RM400K for the Tunku Nurul Hayati Foundation at the
royal charity premiere graced by the Yang DiPertuan Besar of Negeri
Sembilan, HRH Tuanku Jaafar and his consort, HRH Tunku Najihah.
The U.S. cast went on to play to three weeks of full houses at The
Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre.

Gardner & Wife's second West End show, STONES IN HIS POCKETS, was co-produced with the Embassy of Ireland to celebrate Ireland's 2004 Presidency of the European Union. Malaysia Airlines flew in both the West End cast and award-winning playwright Marie Jones OBE especially for the Irish Ambassador's Gala at the J.W. Marriott Hotel. Actors Sean Sloan and Kieran Lagan received a standing ovation, and went on to a week of full houses at The Actors Studio @ Bangsar Shopping Centre. |
