Award-winning Edinburgh State Puppet Theatre made their Asian debut with performances in Penang and Kuala Lumpur of Jean Giono's classic story THE MAN WHO PLANTED TREES. The show received rave reviews from critics and audiences of all ages. Sponsors included Gulf Air and Julia Gabriel Centre for Learning which helped create Malaysia's first half-priced ticket scheme for the performing arts. A special performance was also held to raise funds and awareness for the Malaysian Youth Environmental Heritage Foundation.
