PATRICK JONATHAN as Vlad
Patrick studied at the famed Corona Academy of the Dramatic Arts
in London. As a child performer, he clog-danced with Tommy Steele
in a televised tribute to Charlie Chaplin, and appeared as a boy
with cascading ringlets in the Oscar winning film, Fiddler On
the Roof. He made his first attempt at composing a musical,
The Cockney Kid, at the age of 10, then spent most of his
teen years giving up the funk with a number of bands
in the south-east of England.
Patrick studied composition with Stanley Glasser and Edward Gregson
at London University, but his true mentor is the great English symphonist,
Richard Arnell, for whom he worked as an amanuensis. After a six-year
stint as Contemporary Music Editor and Orchestral Librarian for
the publisher Schott & Co., Patrick trained as a teacher and
has subsequently written and composed more than a dozen musicals
for children.
Since arriving in KL, Patrick has composed music for 3 adult productions
by The Players and written 2 musicals for students at UiTM. In 2003,
he produced a large-scale violin concerto, and is currently at work
